If you want to generate separate acknowledgements for multiple Inbound relationships, for a single trading partner, then, you can achieve that by creating outbound acknowledgement relationship for each inbound activity.
Steps to create custom acknowledgement for Inbound Relationship for EDI activity:
Please follow the below steps to create custom acknowledgement:
Create an inbound relationship.
For more information on how to create an inbound relationship, please refer to Creating Inbound Relationship for EDI Data section.
Create an outbound relationship which you want to set as a custom acknowledgement.
For more information on how to create an outbound relationship, please refer to Creating Outbound Relationship for EDI Data section.
Go to Solutions > B2B > Relationships > Inbound Relationship. This action will open the Manage Relationship screen (see Figure 31).

- Select the trading partner to which you want to send the custom acknowledgement.
Click on the Inbound Relationship tab and right click on the activity for which you want to send custom acknowledgement (see Figure 32).

- From the context menu of the activity, select the Change Acknowledgement menu option. This option will display you the Change Acknowledgement screen (see Figure 33).

When you select the Yes radio button for the Use Default field on the Change Acknowledgement screen then, the activity will use that outbound relationship, which you had initially created, for sending acknowledgement to the trading partner.
On the Change Acknowledgement screen, click on the No radio button for the Use Default field. This action will display you the Select Other drop-down list (see Figure 34).

From the Select Other drop-down list, select a custom acknowledgement (see Figure 35).

Click on the OK button to set custom acknowledgement for your activity.
When you create a custom acknowledgement then you bind an Inbound EDI relationship to that particular outbound acknowledgement relationship. Now in case you want to do any modifications in the Inbound and Outbound activities then you need to first un-bind these activities by selecting the Yes radio button for the Use Default field on the Change Acknowledgement screen.
